As 2022 draws to a close, it's time to look back on the highs, and lows, of the past year...
After years of rumors and speculation, two fan-favorite characters
finally had their time in the spotlight with Disney+ miniseries;
The Book Of Boba Fett carrying over from Dec 2021 - Feb 2022, and
Obi-Wan Kenobi (May - June). Unfortunately, both series fell short of many fans' expectations. Adding to that,
Haslab saw another Star Wars project fail to meet its goal with an Inquisitor lightsaber from the
Kenobi series
Andor (Sept) and
Tales Of The Jedi (Oct) gave the backstories for a few characters, and
Willow has brought back the Lucasfilm property from the 80's
Indiana Jones saw a title and trailer for next year's film (
Dial Of Destiny), as well as, a new toy line.
The 20th anniversary of
Attack Of The Clones saw the announcement of some upcoming figures from Hot Toys, and Hasbro announced a number of products for next year's 40th anniversary of
Return Of The Jedi, as well as, the 20th anniversary of
Clone Wars.
Throughout the year, between the conventions, series tie-ins, and virtual 'collector cons', there seemed to be a constant roll-out of new product reveals and pre-orders.
What were your highlights for this year?
