58 years after his first nomination, composer John Williams has received his 70th and 71st nods (and 24 wins), one of which is for his
"Symphonic Suite" for Disney's Galaxy's Edge attraction. These nominations put Williams just one nomination behind his colleague Henry Mancini (72 nominations and 20 wins) The all- time champ is Quincy Jones, with 80 nominations and 28 wins, [
"although only 11 of his nods are actually for his movie work in the 1960s and ’70s (including “In the Heat of the Night” and “Roots”.] Williams' other nomination is for his arrangement of
Harry Potter's “Hedwig’s Theme, for violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter’s all Williams album, which was cited for best instrumental arrangement. The album also features new arrangements of five
Star Wars themes, including "Across The Stars", Princess Leia's Theme, Rey's and Yoda's.
