Iger Says Disney Attractions To Be Based On New Films

By Bespin refugee on 2014-12-10 in General News
With the older films already featured in the Disney parks' “Star Tours” attraction, Walt Disney Co. chief Bob Iger says their new Star Wars attractions will be based on new sequels and spinoffs. Not wanting someone to say, "I just saw the [new] movie and there’s nothing in that movie in this (attraction),” He says early development was halted until production on Abrams' The Force Awakens was complete. “Now we have a sense of what’s in ‘Star Wars 8,’ and what some of the standalone films will have in them.”
Their plans, which are expected to be revealed next year, "...will have a blend of the past, present and maybe the future...”
Iger also says that the teaser trailer nearly didn't happen. While Abrams is known for his secrecy, the teaser was created to give the "rabid" fanbase a brief preview of what was in the works.
