'Light Matter' First Step Toward Lightsabers?

Science has taken another step toward science fiction, as scientists at MIT and Harvard have done what was thought to be impossible, they were able to make light particles bind together to create 'light matter'. "The newly created photon molecules don't behave like traditional light, but more like a lightsaber..." "Don't expect to settle any grudges with a lightsaber duel, though, as the conditions needed to create 'light matter' only exist in a laboratory, and only at a subatomic level, at that.
