What Star Wars means to me - I was hooked as soon as I saw the films around the time when the Special Editions were released. There was just something so fantastic and magical that instantly caught my attention. It wasn't just a simple story about good vs. evil - it had true heart and a universe filled with fantastic characters. It was something I could easily lose myself in and relish in the simple joys of childhood. It's something that will be with me forever.
What is was like to work on the set - First and foremost, it was a dream come true. I was drawing ever since I was very little and with my love of Star Wars, there was no surprise that it was the subject of a lot of my doodles. To take that to the next level and to be able to do that on an official capacity is something truly special. When I'm working, I find myself taking a step back to realize that hey, I'm contributing to the Star Wars universe!
[My] Favorite character to draw - This is a no-brainer - Han Solo! He has been my favorite character for as long as I can remember and that easily translates over into my artwork. I quite often thought about what it would be like to do a whole set of just Han Solo in different poses...hmm..."
Topps' Star Wars Galactic Files Trading cards will be available at hobby shops on Friday, Aug. 9th.
