After nearly 15 years as Lucasfilm's
Star Wars ambassador, including organizing and hosting fan gatherings,
seving as a liaison between Lucasfilm and the fans, and amassing the collection known as "Rancho Obi-Wan", Steve Sansweet announced that in April 2011, he will be leaving the company for "another change and new challenges." For the next six months, he "...will divide his time between his work at the company's San Francisco-based headquarters and Rancho Obi-Wan, as he focuses on new ventures, at least some of them
Star Wars related."
