Artist Katie Cook Honored by The 501st

By Bespin refugee on 2008-05-21 in General News
During this past weekend's Motor City Comic Con, Star Wars artist Katie Cook presented an original drawing she had been asked to create by the Great Lakes Garrison (Michigan 501st Legion) for 501st founder Albin Johnson of R2-KT, the droid created in memory of his daughter. Katie was also inducted as an honorary member of the 501st by the Great Lakes Garrison, including a special plaque and name tag.
Katie says,"my inner nerd is happy and serene... in a little bit of a state of nerd-vana. my outer star wars geek is flippin' out and thinking of how to rearrange one of the "toy walls" to include the plaque."
