I picked this up yesterday too and am severely disappointed in both Jim Starlin and DC Comics for doing what they did to Hawkman in this special. Not only did they mess up Hawkman but by doing what they did they messed up Shazam, Black Adam, Dr fate and one of my favorite LoSH stories. but with that being said I do love the character of Hawkman (because like just about everyone else he's just such a cool visual) and would buy a new Hawkman series. I stopped buying the last one a couple issues into the vhange to Hawkgirl and really haven't been following him outside of JSA since.
