LATimes is reporting that Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) will be joining Harrison Ford (Han Solo) this coming Wednesday [May 19th] for a special screening of The Empire Strikes Back.
The whole night is a fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and part of Lucasfilm's yearlong charity campaign called "The Empire Gives Back," which marks the 30th anniversary of "Empire," widely considered to be the very best of the "Star Wars" sequels.
There will be a Q&A session with the actors as well as George himself who will also be in attendance after the special screening. Tickets for the main theater have already sold out, but there are still tickets available for a second screen that has been set up and a closed-circuit view of the Q&A session with Ford.
StarWars.com reports on the screening, which reunited not only Harrison and Peter Mayhew with ESB Castmate Billy Dee Williams, but also also included in attendance prequel cast member Ewan Mcgregor and a number of the cast and crew of The Clone Wars. During a q&a , Ford talks about working on Empire and discusses cast members Mayhew (whose birthday was May 19th) and Alec Guiness, who Ford is now older then Guiness was during A New Hope.
