Hasbro continues to crank out
6" Black Series figures based on characters from
Solo: A Star Wars Story, and today I take a look at one of the latest with
L3-37.
L3 was the former Millennium Falcon co-pilot and long time partner to Lando Calrissian who was the first female based droid featured prominently in a Star Wars film. The figure which comes in the same style of packaging we've seen for all the Black Series line does a good job of capturing the character likeness with the sculpting detail and paint applications. This one is number 73 in the series.
I like how they did the wires on this one which in places like on the legs are separate pieces made with a rubber like material. Most the figure is done with an off-white like plastic with some blue and green as well as scratch marks mixed throughout.
The head is somewhat flat like seen in the movie and the overall scale fits in well with the other Solo characters.
The biggest limitation for the figure comes with articulation and the way the feet are sculpted can make it difficult to stand some times. You get petty basic movements with this one with things like single-hinged elbows and knees. The legs basically just rotate back and fourth. Still I would really expect a droid like this to be super agile so the lack of articulation doesn't bother me to much.
If you've been collecting the other Solo: A Star Wars story figures then I recommend you check this one out. Look for it on shelves now at places like our sponsor
