Seth Green’s Star Wars: Detours To Get Public Showcase At Lucas Museum

Seth Green’s long-shelved animated Star Wars comedy Star Wars: Detours is finally heading to audiences, though not as a traditional release. The series will be featured as part of an exhibit at George Lucas’ soon-to-open Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles, Green announced during a museum panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026.

“We made a show with George, an animated series,” Green said. “He wanted to make Simpsons in the Star Wars universe. It’s called Detours, and there’s… going to be a curation of episodes from that show on display for the public in the theater.”

Star Wars: Detours was officially unveiled at Star Wars Celebration in 2012, though Lucas and Green had publicly discussed the project as early as 2010. Clips were shown around the reveal, but the series was shelved after Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm later that year. 39 episodes had been completed at the time.
