C-3PO Head From Empire Strikes Back Sells for Over $1M at Auction

By Shawn Kirk on 2026-03-26 in Movie & TV
A rare, light-up C-3PO head from the 1980 film Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back sold for $1,058,400 during Propstore's Spring Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction on Wednesday. The winning bid significantly exceeding its pre-sale estimate of $350,000 to $700,000. This prop is reportedly the only known example of a C-3PO head from The Empire Strikes Back to ever appear on the collector’s market. Held in Los Angeles, the sale was the highlight of day one of a three-day auction (March 25–27), which Propstore estimated would raise approximately $9 million in total.

Magic wand pick one thing? Gotta be that C3PO head, but that Jaws harpoon would give it a run for its money.
