I did start it after everyone recommended me as the best Star Wars show, and thats the point it was pretty much mostly ignored by general public without making much noise because franchise as a whole has diluted feel and new Star Wars series not matter good or bad doesnt make much noise.
I think they need to keep moving forward telling stories that don't end with a movie we already know. It takes the stakes away. We all knew Anakin was going to become Vader and that Obi-Wan wasn't going to kill him so watching, while a cool series, wasn't all that interesting because you knew the broad strokes of how it would end.
A Lando series with Donald Glover would have been cool but you knew where he was gonna end up in the end. Unless you have a really interesting story of how he got there what's the point?

In retrospect I think this move only diluted franchise further, despite Mandalorian being a true hit I don't think other series really did much good to the franchise, having multiple timelines is cool for comics but for general public it's one bad and confusing idea, that's why I think Kenobi series should have been a movie and only tv show timeline should have been Mandalorian/Fett/Ahsoka one, even there I would argue maybe they should have gone with animation for Ahsoka instead of live action, even though it was great to see Rosario Dawson in the role.
Donald Glover in Solo was one of the best things in that movie. I bet this show would have moved forward easily if the movie had performed better.
As long it's quality before quantity .. then I'm okay with it ?
It appears the Lando film/series isn't going to happen after all.It wasreported last yearthat Donald Glover and his brother Stephen had taken up writing duties for a Disney+ Lando series. Now,Collidertalks to Justin Simien, who was attached to helm the series.Despite being pretty far into development ("...there was a Bible, there was concept art, there were scripts,..."), he says it has apparently been shelved. '"...there wasn't a direct conversation. "It became clear. They probably wont want me to say this, but I knew it was official when I read it in the trades. But the writing was super on the wall," he recounted.'
Sounds good to me.
First Announced in 2020, we now have an update on the Disney+ series asVarietyreports Donald Glover and his brother Stephen have signed on to write the series. Justin Simien, who most recently directed Disneys Haunted Mansion, was once attached to the project. but, Variety has been told the Glover brothers will be writing the series alone.
