In a recent interview with
IGN, Mandalorian Executive producer Rick Famuyiwa stated that Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin is no longer the only main character in the show.
"Who is the Mandalorian at this point? And so I think it could be anyone. And I think that's what they're trying to define in many ways, is what does that mean to be Mandalorian?"
Without getting to much into spoiler territory its been pretty obvious this season that much of the focus of the show has turned away from Din and is more about Bo-Katan who is played by Katee Sackhoff.
There have been quit a few rumors making the internet rounds recently that the relationship between Pascal and the show's creator and showrunner Jon Favreau have deteriorated since season 2. That and/or just the demands on Pascal's time with being involved in other shows like the HBO series The Last Of Us might be limiting the time he is able to commit to shooting the Mandalorian which is why we see them moving away from his character and giving other more of a spotlight.
Regardless of the reasons however, it does seem like we are going to be seeing less and less of the Din Djarin on screen, at least for the foreseeable future.
