Shawn Levy In Talks To Direct A New Star Wars Movie In The Future

Outsiders - November 08, 2022
Shawn Levy is currently in talks to direct a Star Wars film after directing the next Deadpool 3 at Marvel and Disney.

Levy's plate is pretty full with the director helming all four episodes of the Netflix limited series, All the Light We Cannot See. Next, he will direct at least two episodes of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things for Netflix. He then jumps over to the big screen to helm the third installment of Deadpool with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Once that is said and done, he'll tackle a new Star Wars film. Anything can change between now and then.

No information is available about who is writing or what the new Star Wars movie will be about but Lucasfilm hasn’t released a Star Wars film in theaters since 2019’s Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.
