Lucasfilm has named Derek Hoffman as their new vice president of development, he will oversee development of live-action projects. Hoffman has worked in the film, video game and comic book industry for the last 24 years. starting out in Richard Donners Company He later became a development executive and vice president for the company, working on each film in the X-Men franchise, including as associate producer on X-Men: Days of Future Past.
