Disney+ has released official images from last weeks Chapter 15 episode of the hit-series The Mandalorian which is titled "The Believer".
To move against the Empire, the Mandalorian needs the help of an old enemy.
The main focus of the episode which might be one of the best for season 2 so far, was on the Bill Burr character known as Mayfeld who first appeared in an episode during season 1. The episode gives us more insight to Mayfield's past who was previously established as being an ex-Imperial sharp-shooter. Coincidentally none of the images released by Disney this week actually feature Mayfield.
Just purely speculating, but Disney seems to be setting the Mayfield character up for greater things to come. Makes me wonder if he won't end up being used in the newly announced "Rangers of the New Republic" series which was said to also take place in the same time period as The Mandalorian.
Another cool thing about last week's episode is that we got our first look at Boba Fett played by actor Temuera Morrison in his newly refurbished armor which is featured in one of the images below. We saw Fett put on the armor for the first time since Return of the Jedi the week before, but the armor was still all dinged up and dirty at that point.
You will notice that even after the armor has been cleaned up, the iconic dent in Fett's helmet still remains. If you aren't familiar with Fett history, it was actually established by Dave Filoni a few years ago during one of the Star Wars: Celebration conventions that he got the dent during a showdown with Cad Bane. While the showdown was never officially used in the Clone Wars animated series, you can see the animatic they showed at Celebration of it which is considered cannon now. Fett was voiced by actor Daniel Logan who portrayed Fett as a kid in Episode II.
You can believe that it's only a matter of time before Hasbro gives us new Black Series and Vintage Collection figures of Fett with this refreshed armor look from the Disney+ Mandalorian series.
Also note this episode brings back a number of different Stormtroopers such as the Shoretrooper first featured in the Rogue One movie as well as the Mudtrooper first featured in the Solo movie. The helmets for the Mudtroopers in The Mandalorian differed some from those seen in the Solo movie. Hasbro just recently announced they are re-releasing the Black Series Shoretrooper as part of their Archives line, and I am sure an updated Mudtrooper will soon be coming. The previous Black Series Mudtrooper was done with Han Solo wearing the armor, so my guess they will switch out that headsculpt for someone else and an updated helmet.
This was my favorite episode of the season, and possibly the whole series. The character work was great. I've been a fan of Bill Burr's comedy for years, and I've known he's a talented comedic actor, but I was very happy to be surprised by how good a dramatic actor he is, too.I've read that Boba Fett repainted his armor because over the years a lot of the scratches and wear had been put there while it was worn by someone else. He left the dent in the helmet because he "earned it" himself.
That's because this episode moved the plot and had great characterization instead of just the episode feeling like it was setting up a spin off show. I wasn't familiar with Bill Burr and didn't care much for his character the first time he appeared but he did great in this episode, kudos toJon Favreau and Rick Famuyiwa on some great writing and directing.
It was pretty good episode, seeing them actually working with empire on other side seemed pretty interesting but best part was affirmation in the end that Mando really does care for the kid, he says it loud and clear in the mostbadass dad way, his motivation for the story and what he does is actually much better than anyone's motivation in the star wars so far, yes it's cool to be rebel and hate empire but when empire is your enemy for your own personal reasons, it'swhole different story, thats what makes Mandalorian much more interesting to me than all 3 trilogies combinedwith storiesof "chosen ones" just trying to find themselves.

I liked that they brought back the Shore Trooper, Rogue One to me was one of the more visually interesting Star Wars movies design wise. I liked the darker armor variationfor the Rogue One Tank pilot for the Juggernaut drivers. I like what they are doing with Boba Fett in this series and I'm glad that Fennec Shan is hanging out with him it's giving off some Zam Wessel vibes. There's a few more things that I really liked in this episode but I don't want delve too much into spoiler territory.
