LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special Coming To Disney+ On November 17th

On November 17th, the 42nd anniversary of it's infamous airing, the Star Wars Holiday Special will be revisited, in a whole new way. This time, anew generation will be celebrating "Wookiee life day", but, there will also be references and interactions with characters from different eras, as well as homages to some holiday classics.

The wife and I just watched this last night. I didn't expect to enjoy it, since I'm not seven years old, and well...I didn't.

It just won't be the same without creepy makeup and creature costumes, Art Carney and Bea Arthur, and a &%$#load of drugs.

The Star Wars Holiday Special lives again, but this time, in Lego form.

Varietyreports Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), as wall asThe Clone Warsvoice actors Dee Bradley Baker (clone troopers), Tom Kane (Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn), Matt Lanter (Anakin Skywalker), and James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi), will return to their roles for a LEGO Star Wars style holiday special premiering on Disney+ on Nov.17th.The Lego Star Wars Holiday Special sees Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewie, Rose and the droids as they celebrate Life Day, a joyous celebration on Chewies home planet of Kashyyyk that was first introduced in the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special. Set after the events of 2019s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the new 45-minute special follows Rey as she journeys with BB-8 to gain a deeper understanding of the Force.Along the way, she encounters characters from all nine Skywalker saga films, including Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda and Obi-Wan.Its unclear if Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe) or Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) are returning.Ken Cunningham directed The Lego Star Wars Holiday Special, which was written by David Shayne.Shayne also served as executive producer, along with James Waugh, Josh Rimes, Jason Cosler, Jacqui Lopez, Jill Wilfert and Keith Malone.
