Another character is rumored to make the jump from animation to live-action, as Katee Sackhoff, who has voiced Mandalorian Bo-Katan on
The Clone Wars and
Rebels is said to also be bringing the character to the second season of the Disney+ streaming series,
The Mandalorian.

If true, Sackhoff's Bo-Katan will join a list of characters who have transitioned from animation to live-action. Technically, Boba Fett could be the first, debuting in the
Holiday Special's animated segment almost two years before
The Empire Strikes Back. Other notable characters include General Grievous, who first appeared in the 2004
Clone Wars minisseries, and Saw Gerrera, who first appeared on
The Clone Wars before appearing in
Rogue One and
Star Wars Rebels. Saw of course was played by Forrest Whitaker in both animated and live-action forms.
Sackhoff's Bo-Katan may also run into some familiar faces, as
Ahsoka Tano is said to appear, possibly played by Rosario Dawson.
There is also rumor and speculation about Sabine Ren possibly making the jump from animated to live-action with an appearance on The Mandalorian.
Before its appearance on
The Mandalorian, the Darksaber was last seen being handed over to Bo-Katan by Sabine in
Rebels. Sabine herself was last seen going off with Ahsoka to find Ezra in the final episode of Rebels.
The second season of
The Mandalorian is said to still be scheduled to debute on Disney+ in October 2020 despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
