Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Receives Three Academy Award Nominations

The 2020 Academy Award nominations have been announced, and Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker has been nominated for Best Visual Effects, Best Sound Editing, and Best Score.

With the score for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, composer John Williams has broken another record; his 52nd nomination is the most for a living person, only behind Walt Disney's all-time total of 59 nominations. The 87 year old was first nominated in 1968 for Valley of the Dolls.The 92nd Academy Awards ceremony will take place on 9 February 9, 2020.
