J.J. Abrams discusses Wrapping Up The Star Wars Saga

Bespin refugee - November 25, 2019

If you have an actual Star Wars script, don't put it under your bed.
The day after putting the final touches on The Rise Of Skywalker, director J. J. Abrams reveals that one of the actors (as much as he wants to, he won't say who) put their script under their bed, which was found by somebody else, and it ended up on eBay. It was discovered before it sold, though,
Abrams admits, with the pressure to close out the saga, it was "scary". I care about it so much, he said. It means a lot to a lot of people us included. We felt the pressure, but the opportunity was always greater than the challenge. He also adds, it would've been impossible to end the Skywalker Saga without Carrie Fisher's presence as Leia. Thankfully, there was enough unused footage from The Force Awakens to tell her story.
Its impossible for me to believe shes not here. Weve been working with her in the editing room now for almost a year and shes vital, and shes there, shes funny, shes Leia in this movie. Its sort of surreal.
