Disney announced today that Rogue One's Cassian Andor will be getting his own live-action TV series for Disney+, the Company’s new direct-to-consumer streaming service which is slated to debut in 2019. Diego Luna who played the role of Cassian in the Rogue One movie will be back to reprise the role for television. The series will be about formative years of the Rebellion and obviously take place before the events of Rogue One. The series will go into production next year.

This (and the scenes in the trailer) reminded me of the season of Rebels w Wedge & Hobbie(?) At the risk of 'shrinking universe', do you think we could see any overlap? Is Biggs' Anchorhead cut scene storyline still canon?

It deserves every award for which it's nominated and some for which it's unfortunately not. They obviously couldn't all win, but Diego Luna, Andy Serkis, Stellan Skarsgrd, Faye Marsay, Denise Gough, Genevieve O'Reilly, and Fiona Shaw were ****ing snubbed.

Best Star Wars anything in over 40 years.
"Few other long-running franchises loom as large in todays contemporary pop cultural imagination than Star Wars. Yet amid stories of destiny-driven heroes and doomed superpowered villains, Tony Gilroys Andor tackles that familiar galaxy with plenty of spectacle, but also a keen-eyed commitment to mirroring our own mundane trials and tribulations as it follows scavenger Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), who unwittingly becomes radicalized in the wake of a police state intent on crushing any and all signs of the Rebel Alliance."Peabody Awards
