#Disney Trying To Regain Broadcasting Rights To The #StarWars Films

As Disney prepares to launch its streaming service in 2019, they are attempting to build up their film catalog. Unfortunately, some deals made in the last few years are making that difficult. Sources say, they have been trying to regain the rights from Turner Broadcasting, who gained them in a 2016 agreement. Apparently Turner is not interested in losing the rights to the films, as they say, "...the talks haven’t advanced further."
Disney has also announced they will not extend their current deal with Netflix, which ends in 2019.

Its probably a no-brainer that they would try to recoup the broadcasting rights... And, while I completely understand why they would want to do so, its kind of sad thinking that Star Wars might not be so readily available for people to watch, anymore. Without its being stuck behind a paywall, rather than just on tv, every once in a while.
