Solo: A Star Wars Story finishes its opening weekend at #1, but, came up short of box-office predictions, only taking in $84.7 million over three days, $103 million in 4,381 North American locations over the four-days, and just $148 million globally. This was enough to hold off the competion, though, with "
Deadpool 2" coming in second with $55 million from 4,349 screens over four-days ($219 Million domestic total), and
Avengers: Infinity War with $21.2 million in 3,768 locations ($626 million domestic total over 5 weeks and $1.9 billion globally)
During their opening weekends, 2015s
The Force Awakens debuted with a massive $248 million three-day total followed by 2016's
Rogue One at $155 million, and last year's
The Last Jedi with $220 million.
Solo: A Star Wars Story currently holds an A- CinemaScore, and a 71% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
