On December 15th, as The Last Jedi was released in theaters, it as revealed that J.J.Abrams was pitching ideas for Episode 9 to Lucasfilm. Abrams will co-write the film with Chris Terrio. Star Wars: Episode IX will be produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Abrams, Bad Robot, and Lucasfilm. It has also been revealed that the working title for the film is "Black Diamond", and will be produced under the business name of "Carbonado Industries (UK) Ltd." (Carbonado is commonly known as the “black diamond“) Episode IX is scheduled to be released December 20, 2019.
