Update: looks like Tag and Bink are now canon(?), with the comic duo's writer, Kevin Rubio, and the Han Solo film's writer, Jon Kasdan, commenting (see below).

The untitled Han Solo film, directed by Ron Howard, is slated to hit theaters on May 25, 2018 and will star Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson and Emilia Clarke.
