Carrie Fisher Completed Filming 'Episode VIII' Before Her Death

Outsiders - December 27, 2016
Sources have confirmed that Carrie Fisher's work on the next Star Wars movie was completed before her untimely death.

The eighth film in the series wrapped shooting in July and is now in post-production. That means that Disney and LucasFilm, the producers of the Star Wars series, will not have to address Fisher’s death until the ninth film begins shooting in 2018. Fisher appears as Leia Organa and was originally slated to appear in that production.
