Star Wars: The Force Awakens leaves theaters, the film will be available for steaming through Netflix, but, only in Canada. While Starz will be the pay-TV home for the film in the U.S., Netflix signed a deal with Disney for 2016 titles after agreements for the pay-TV window with Corus Entertainment and Bell Canada expired; they have also been in talks about licensing the other
Star Wars movies. Disney has also revealed plans to launch "DisneyLife", a subscription service in the U.K. and across Europe that would offer movies, TV shows, books and music, Disney's CEO Bob Iger says, "while movies from the “Star Wars” franchise and Marvel will not be included at launch, Disney might launch subscription services for each of those brands in the future."
