Wal-Mart.com has listed on their website their upcoming exclusive Star Wars Hero Series Millennium Falcon vehicle. Now it's not a surprise nor a confirmation that the original trilogy vehicle will ship in Star Wars: Rebels packaging since that is the current them for most of Hasbro's Star Wars based products this year and many vehicles that won't be in the show are being repackaged in Rebels boxes. What is a bit odd though is that in Wal-Mart's product description for this toy, it actually indicates the vehicle will appear in the show:
"The Millennium Falcon takes part in some of the most momentous events in the galaxy including the Battle of Hoth, making a last-minute escape as Imperial troopers attack the Rebel base. Take your Star Wars adventures to a whole new level with this incredibly detailed Millennium Falcon vehicle! The many features of this realistic, 2-1/2-foot-long vehicle let you re-enact the most amazing scenes from the Star Wars Rebels series — and then create brand new ones! The vehicle can detect Imperial ships with its rotating radar dish, and fend them off with the rotating cannon that lifts and lowers! Head for the stars with this awesome Millennium Falcon vehicle! Star Wars products are produced by Hasbro under license from Lucasfilm Ltd. Hasbro and all related terms are trademarks of Hasbro."
Now like with the packaging itself, it's possible this is just a generic description and should not be considered confirmation of the vehicles appearance in the new series which will take place between the events of Episode III and IV, but it does seem like there is a reasonable possibility that eventually the classic iconic vehicle will make some kind of appearance, perhaps while under the ownership of one Lando Calrissian who has also been rumored to have some kind of role in the show?
