Episode Synopsis: Murray and Pops persuade Barry to lie to Beverly about joining the wrestling team. Meanwhile, Adam is disappointed when Erica cancels their plans to see the premiere of "Return of the Jedi."

Since writing the film Fanboys, Goldbergs creator, and lifelong Star Wars Nut, Adam F. Goldberg, has included 'epic' Star Wars homages in all of his projects. This week's episode of his ABC series, The Goldbergs, is no exception; it features Hayley Orrantia wearing Princess Leia's trademark hairstyle, and guest star Thomas Lennon wearing stilts for a 9-foot tauntaun costume.

I hadn't even thought about it, but, yeah, The Goonies (from a couple of weeks ago) was 1985, Jedi will be '83... Although, it works, if you think of each episode as a random vhs tape put into the vcr in the show opening.

Its funny how that show goes all over the decade.At one point it is 1986 another it was 1984..
