the Kickstarter has met, and surpassed, their goal. Here's a

9/1 Update:
The
Kickstarter is currently a lttle over the halfway point @ $21,986, with 12 days to go; and
The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that Mayhew's surgery will take place Sept. 9th, following an appearance at the Salt Lake City Con.
Peter Mayhew, the 7'3" actor behind Chewbacca, wants to document his life, leading up the upcoming knee surgeries, that will allow him to walk, unassisted, again; contributors to the
Kickstarter campaign will be given inside access and exclusives.
