'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Looking To Leave CN For Disney XD

Outsiders - November 02, 2012
Sources are informing THR that the Turner Entertainment-owned Cartoon Network has the license for Star Wars: The Clone Wars until the end of this season and Disney is looking to move the cartoon to its own network, most likely Disney XD, an advertiser-supported cable TV channel targeted at boys.

After the sale of Lucasfilm was announced, Disney CEO Robert Iger said 'he sees big possibilities for Star Wars content on the Disney/ABC owned TV channels. He particularly cited Disney XD as a perfect home for a Star Wars show, though he stopped short of mentioning Clone Wars.'
