he will be missed
RIP Ralph McQuarrie, your imagination will continue to live on with your fans and the future generations of Star Wars viewers
I got 2 figures signed by him a few years ago.It was the Boba Fett and the Stormtrooper. He sent them back to me.He will be missed.
Y'know, you guys just reminded me...I don't think I ever got that figure. I have most of the "McQuarrie" series figures, but not the man himself.
I have that and the figures that came from his artwork except starkiller

I have him still on his card also displayed with the prototype figures
That just hit me I have his action figure they released a few years ago
yup...im getting General McQuarrie out, along with the rest of the Echo Base crew, for a tribute display.
When I seen this thread my first thoughts were to those ESB trading cards we used to get
Long before I knew his name, I remember the ESB trading cards w/ his concept art, the concept paintings in the 'souvenir' books, the photo of McQuarrie working on the Cloud City landing platform matte painting, etc... One of the early fan club premiums was a poster of his 'trench run' painting ( (link) - 2nd row, 1st)
RIP Mr. McQuarrie.
Your images and imagination have inspired GENERATIONS of kids and kids at heart.
Thank you so very very much.
