Star Wars Blu-Ray Report

By Bespin refugee on 2011-08-22 in Movie & TV
This past weekend, Home Theater Forum was invited by Lucasfilm, as part of a select group, to preview the upcoming Blu-Ray release, including the final packaging. The nine disk Complete Saga is packaged in book form, while the two trilogies come in 'a standard three disc Aramay Blu-ray case with a cardboard sleeve'. A spokesperson for Lucasfilm says it has taken just over 3 years to work on this set, including work on the movies, and uncovering a lot of material. In addition to video and audio adjustment, there were also some "nit-picky errors" that were corrected, incuding lightsaber effect shots (could the "Emperor slug" actually be fixed?!) There will also be all-new commentary, 360 turnarounds of the props, the costumes and the vehicles, and much more.
