R2-D2 Easter Egg In Star Trek Confirmed

Bespin refugee - November 24, 2009
From The Official Star Wars Blog:
"If you still need a good reason to see the new Star Trek movie, this may be it. R2-D2 is in the movie as an Easter Egg, and if you can figure out which scene our beloved astromech makes an appearance, you should enter the “Star Trek Easter Egg Sweepstakes” on Facebook!

Star Trek Easter Egg Sweepstakes (via Facebook)"

Via The Official Star Wars Blog/Star Trek's Facebook Page:

During the Drill Machine sequence as the Enterprise comes out of its barrel [roll] amidst destruction of the other Federation ships above Vulcan, we cut to an interior Enterprise bridge over the shoulder of Kirk that is looking out through the front viewscreen. In space, R2-D2 is floating in the debris from about the top middle of the screen to the bottom right."

Maybe, who knows? I don't think they had plans yet for the movie, did they? I'm not sure where this episode was in the bulk of them and w/ the movie... ??

A Little foreshadowing with Ironhide, babe? There were quite a few mouth movement errors in Season 2. This ep had no exception.

I like this episode, I liked Carly, finally a girl!! But I did like Chip, poor fellow.

At one point, Carly & Spike stuffed into Bumblebee's front seat, and he said SOMETHING, but his mouth never moved. Thought that was funny! lol

I felt bad for Ironhide in this one, thinking he's too old, but it would have been sad to see him go. I loved his character and voice!

You know I think it was unlikely to meet a girl in an arcade at the time. Gotta love her 80s outfit!

If Spike isn't old enough to drive but Carly is, then its quite obvious don't you think? But not THAT much older.

Meeting a blonde, blue eyed girl in an arcade!? This episode already had me hooked.

This episode made me a big Ironhide fan. The animation is very impressive and the story is well executed.

I give this classic episode two thumbs up!

Carly is the same age but as you know girls mature faster

You know I never realized Carly replaced Chip until you bought it up

Beast Wars did an episode like this also
