Star Wars Custom Of The Week: TCW "Lost Missions" Yoda's Darkside By Customs For The Kid

Bespin refugee - September 15, 2019

This week's custom is a 3 3/4" Yoda's Darkside (The Clone Wars "Lost Missions") by Customs For The Kids

"On this one, Dad built out the body from the head, hands, biceps, and feet of a Clone Wars Yoda action figure. The body was from a LOTR Gollum action figure whose legs were modified like the Kylo Ren forearms that we used. I sculpted out a new open snarled up mouth and changed the sculpt of the eyes, chin, and top of Yoda's head.

To create his vaporous appearance we used cotton balls that we dyed black, glued to the figure and then used maximum hold hairspray to style the cotton the way that we wanted it to rest on the figure. Once it achieved maximum hold, we painted the cotton in the places where it was needed.

I was really happy with what we pulled off on this one.
