Hasbro's Rise of Darth Vader Figure Revealed

Jedi News has scored the first images of a new Star Wars figure coming from Hasbro. It's called the Rise of Darth Vader and it has electronic lights sounds and phrases. It appears you can change it from Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader. It's unclear what scale these are in but I am going to guess 12". This figure won an award at the UK Toy Fair for on of their best figures for 2013. In the UK it is slated to be released in August and will cost £24.99 which is about $39.56 here in the states. This definitely looks like another product made more with kids in mind than adult collectors.

While that's really cool that the voice change and the saber changes... I think the play value is really limited, not to mention it being 13" tall, what're the kids going to have him dress up and go against? |
