From Starwars.com:
Recapping some new information from a Q&A session at the San Diego Comic Convention, including some new images (see the above link).
What's New From Hasbro?
At the Star Wars Hasbro panel, Jeff Popper and Randy Shoemaker of Hasbro led the gathered collectors through some upcoming releases through to their exciting plans leading in to Episode III next spring...
...The Unleashed line of figures will get its first droid later this year with IG-88. The design for this killer mechanical was unveiled here for the first time, with the intimidating bounty hunter stepping out of flaming wreckage reminiscent of his role in the Shadows of the Empire saga.
Hasbro spoke for the first time about their plans for 2005. In the months before the new movie, fans can look forward to 3 3/4" figures of Sly Moore, Wookiee Senator Yarua, Pablo Jill, Padmé Amidala in ceremony dress, handmaiden Rabe, and Mos Eisley cantina aliens Feltipern Trevagg , Myo and Dannik Jerriko. Naturally, there will be a wave of Episode III preview figures, but you'll have to wait a bit longer for those details.
With the announcement of a third season of the Clone Wars animated micro-series, the animated Clone Wars line will get four new additions in spring 2005... Anakin Skywalker (as seen in episode 19 as he battled Asajj Ventress on Yavin 4), an ARC trooper, and the first plastic rendition of General Grievous.
The Galactic Heroes line will be updated with three new two-packs in spring: Jedi Luke Skywalker (Return of the Jedi) with Gamorrean Guard, Lando Calrissian in skiff guard disguise with Nikto skiff guard, and a Tusken Raider with Jawa. Based on the Playskool X-wing, a new electronic Galactic Heroes X-wing fighter will debut in 2005 featuring engine and flying sounds, character sounds of R2-D2 and Ben Kenobi, and laser and torpedo sounds with moving blasters.
Of course, 2005 will also be the year of Episode III toys as well. Stay tuned...
