it's possible Maul attached that Spider caboose himself but couldn'tconnect the nerves properly which caused him to go insane from pain |

Robot Chicken showed one guy cleaning up on Naboo when Maul's body hit the ground. He complained about it, but seemed the type to finish the job no matter what.
