A mother's story about her first-grade daughter, who felt the need to hide her love of Star Wars, was making the rounds on Facebook today (11/19/10). The girl, who already felt the pressure of wearing glasses and being adopted, was ready to dump her "only for boys" Star Wars water bottle to avoid teasing from the boys in her class. After posting the story on a blog, the supportive comments have poured in, giving the girl the self-confidence she needed.
