No Live-Action Star Wars Show For The Time Being?!?
Jay Cochran - August 05, 2010

For several years now there has been rumblings that George Lucas and company were working on a live-action Star Wars TV series that would bridge the gap between the events of Episode 3 and Episode 4. This is a series many fans have long been waiting for, but unfortunately according to SyFy, they are going to have to wait a while longer for it to happen.

Apparently during a special screening of Star Wars-Episode V at Chicago's Field Museum a couple of months back, Star Wars creator George Lucas said the following:

The live action TV show is kind of on hold because we have scripts, but we don't know how to do 'em. Because, they literally are Star Wars, only we're going to have to try to do them ... a tenth the cost. And, it's a huge challenge ... lot bigger than what we thought it was gonna be.

Hmm could George just be trying to throw people off the trail of the project, or maybe he is trying to gauge public interest in such a project? I mean if shows like Star Trek can make decent special effects on a reasonable budget, why can't Star Wars? Or just look at the amazing things Lucas and his people have done with their video games like Force Unleashed. If they can make their games look so good, why not a TV series?
