There will be 30 basic figures released in 2008 and they will come with a new "build-a-figure" system.

You will be able to build at least one unique, never before released droid in each wave. Waves with 8 figures will allow you to build two Astromech droids while waves with 6 figures will allow you to build 1 Protocol droind. The parts will have universal connectors for customization.

Wave 2 is due out on 8/2 and the first protocol droid wave will begin in wave 3.
