Phil Tippett's Collection Of Star Wars Props Up For Auction

Auctions ended this week, with 400 items from visual effects artist Phil Tippett's collection of movie memorabilia up for bids. Items included props from Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Robocop, and Star Wars, among others. In addition to creature sketches from A New Hope, the Dianoga trash compactor creature prop (unsold) and Duros cantina alien mask ($55,000) were among the highlights. Phil Tippett worked on stop animation and makeup effects for the Original Trilogy, as well as, a supervisor for the Dejarik holochess scenes in The Force Awakens
