Hasbro's Derryl DePriest (VP, global brand marketing), Jeff Labovitz (director, global brand marketing), Michelino Paolino (senior director, product design), Brian Merten (senior manager, product design), Adam Pagano (senior art director), and Erik Arana (Star Wars product designer) discuss the popular Hasbro Star Wars line. Introductions are made. They thank everyone for their support of the Star Wars line.

New 3.75" segment in 2013, more Fighter Pods and exclusives.

They are going to go over the 2012 figures we already have seen in the case this weekend.

Exclusives are coming we've been waiting for a long time for.

10% of unleaked stuff to show for 2012.

Vintage Collection has been going strong for 2 years. 100+ figures. It will be going on hold now. Its not going away though, just on hold.

Derryl says his goal to continue to commit to getting Vintage figures released. They want to get all the original Kenner figures released and they have a list of what still needs to get made.

Droid Factory returns in 2012. It will be in the main line. 30 figures in 2013. Each wave will build 1 or 2 droids, many that have never been released before. New packaging will look like a R2 unit.

New Padme, R2-D2 and Biker Scout will be in Wave 1 as well as Tie-Fighter Pilot (Vaders Wingman from ANH, Anakin from AOTC and Clone Trooper Sergan, Sandtrooper, Genosian Warrior, all new Pablo-Jill, fully articulated with rocker ankles. Clone Trooper on newest body. TC-70 and FA-4 are the BAD for this wave.

Wave 2 - Mace Windu Clone Wars Armor, Captain Rex, Luke Yavin Ceremony, Mara Jade Jedi, Darth Vader Bespin has a hand to be able to grip Han Solo's pistol from the dinner table scene, A-Wing Pilot, Biggs, Ep 2 Cline Pilot. R8-B7 and R5-X2 are the BAD for this wave.

12" figures are coming with 5 points of articulation. Darth Vader, E3 Anakin, Clone Trooper, E3 Obi-Wan. These are geared for kids. Have a Vintage feel though.

Fighter Pods - Series 3 comes out this fall with over a 125 figures. Online Battle Game has launched at fighterpods.com

New Rapid Fire and Rapid Reload Launchers.

Exclusives:

Target will see the Nightsisters 3 pack with Darth Maul. Droid Pack with Power Droid, Deathstar Droid and R5-D4 in August. Also Villian set with super articulated Snaggletooth. Also a Darth Maul Fighter Pods Tin set.

Kmart will see a Vintage AT-ST Scout Walker (Endor) in August. Also a Endor AT-ST Crew 2-pack with new head sculpts also to be released in August. The packaging is based on some Vintage style packaging done in Europe. Ewok Scout 2-pack as well.

Toys R' Us will see a Ewok 5-pack Pack. Kneesaa, Flitchee, Nanta, Teebo, Tippet in October. Yavin Pilot Pack will have Tiree, Davish Krail, R5-D8, Porkins. Also will see a new Speeder Bike that holds the pilot while turned upside down and comes with stand and some other cool functions. The Big Millennium Falcon will be released in Vintage packaging will see release at TRU as well as another AT-AT with Endor Vintage package and a slight redeco for endor.

Brians Toys will be releasing Jocasta Nu the Jedi Archivist in December. It will be on a Vintage non-numbered card.

Q&A

Madalorian Assault Transport is not available now. It was shipped in small numbers at the end of last year and they want to re-release it in greater quantities at some point.

Could see more Old Republic based products debut at Celebration.

No Hasbro exclusive currently planned for Celebration.

No plans to ship star cases with non-exclusive figures.

No plans to do retro style Kenner figures right now.

Off limits figures - there are characters of problematic but nothing set in stone that can never be made.

Disney Build A Droid could make its way to CA eventually but nothing planned immediately. They have been successful.

Aw yeah...I just knew they'd re-release the BMF in retro packaging. Yes!! I absolutely love the Vintage Collection stuff.
