I really want Trakker. I hope he does well enough we see at least a couple more figures from that line. I mean there wasn't that many members of MASK? 15 tops?

Just saw "Revenge of Cobra" again this week, and though I'm not sold on that Cobra Flint, I'll admit that he's growing on me. Maybe by the time Wave 11 is out, I'll be ready to break down and get him!

The funny thing is you can have him RIGHT NOW.

I wasn't a completist with MASK but I had a couple and they were quite cool. I will definitely be picking up that Trakker and I hope there are more things to come, particularly the vehicles which were a main part of that line.

More repaints and repaints and repaints. Thats what I love consistancy!!! I remember putting up a post a while back and now I see some of you are understanding what I have been saying. I have seen the protos for MASK like I said before one of the figure (body type are in wave 9/ Para vipers) for the new up and coming MASK line can you guess who? Its sad because someone said Hasbro has run out of ideas. That maybe some what true. They have a huge develpoment staff and a boat load of artists who are willing to work, the only thing is they plan to milk this GI 25th into the ground, then release new product. As for Visionaries becareful whaty you wish for. Lets just say is you do not like the whole "Thundercats Movie theme" (them being a rock band) for the movie concepts in the works then you will hate the concepts for Visionaries. If you like new Ideas them enjoy. The only thing I do like about the Visionaries concept is the idea they are throwing around (3 3/4) ????? (wraith,bb cc,trackerzartan v1 body types) Sad..... by the way anyone one want to buy a whole GI JOE collection??? Its a lot of stuff email me if you want pics!!

Oh, are you back to spout more nonsense?

No one understands what you're saying. Ever. This probably has something to do with the arrogance and superiority you spout as someone 'in the industry', without ever saying exactly what that means. The 'this is upcoming' predictions that you constantly make, not a single one of which has actually come to pass yet --and most of which are so vague and already-guessed-at that if they DO come to pass, half the board could claim to be psychics-- also might have something to do with it. If we're to believe you, then you've seen pretty much everything Hasbro has on the table for the next few YEARS... yet you seem just as surprised as the rest of us when new waves come along.

Aside from that, Hasbro getting to the prototype stage for two new lines (MASK and Visionaries) with seemingly no media support (cartoons or even comics), seems incredibly unlikely. There's been no word on either, and it's a rare day that something would not have leaked (aside from you, that is). In addition, there are plenty of fans who keep an eye on what the toy companies slap trademarks and copyrights on, as that's a good sign as to what's upcoming. You'd think someone would notice that Hasbro had tried to pull off a bunch of them related to these two properties... the thought that they wouldn't renew ANY is pretty much ridiculous.

As for the MASK tie-in, I'm guessing they needed to make something to keep the rights, and since MASK is probably the only thing left from Kenner that has a chance of being reborn it was time to roll out a figure to renew some contract. Maybe that means we'll se a Sky Commanders or Visionaries dude too.

Centurions?

God, the things they could do with that property today...

duke togo - 2008-10-09 @ 9:47 pm
Who is doing the artwork now for the cards? I mean it's looks cheap and basically sucks... The artwork used to be something decent but now it's looking more like Funskool artwork...

Some Indian dude probably, it's very Funskool-esque. If they've got an original illustration to touch-up, it looks fine, but on these dudes that never had card art - wow it's bad.

Maybe that means we'll se a Sky Commanders or Visionaries dude too. It's also a good way to gauge interest in the possibility of bringing MASK back. If the figure does well it just might convince Hasbro to try a 25th anniversary of MASK (2010 btw).

Although I'm going to go out on a limb and predict Trakker will be warming shelves next to Wild Bill and the HISS Driver, along with most of this trash in this and the current wave of figures.

Mutt, Eels, and Airborne are it, the rest is just crap. It's fitting the art is Funskool quality, because so are the figures.

Yes, I've been waiting for Matt Trakker since they announced the possibility long ago. He looks awesome! I too would fully support a new M.A.S.K. toy line! The originals were one of my favorite toys as a kid and I still have a handful of them. I would love to at least see Condor or a couple of the smaller ones that Hasbro could easily and cheaply test market to see if there is an audience. I know I would be part of it.

CaptainTriumph - 2008-10-09 @ 3:20 am
The thing about M.A.S.K. is the vehicles (more so then the masks).

Would that not be cool if they had the old M.A.S.K. vehicles, but 4" sized?

You better believe it!!! I love and have the originals and would fully support new releases!!!
