Dan Gilvazan

When I first heard BB voice I said to my brothers "Hey thats Spidermans voice"

I like Bumblebee small and capable of self-doubt, he did afterall have the voice of Spider-man from the "Amazing Friends" cartoon. Classics 'Bee was a great toy, but just too darn big (can't wait to get the new Legends-class Classic Bee they showed at SDCC). I like him as the average guy, somewhere between the humans and the bigger, badder robots. A lot of that depth couldn't be shown in the movie, the hero who is outmatched let struggles on despite his own doubts, because that version of the character couldn't talk and there really wasn't time a fast-paced action movie. Of Course, I like to see the little guy kick butt, too.

Hmmm.... For me I still really love G1 Bumblebee the most. I have always been a little upset that he didn't receive more screen time in the original 80's animated movie. I feel that G1 Bumblebee just had the coolest, brave attitude. I liked and admired his confidence, especially for being as small as he was ( is even now ). He certainly wasn't as strong as the majority of his fellow autobots and of course decepticons but he was never affraid to stand up to anyone of them. I actually like how the animated version of him has a lot of those same characteristics as well. That is one of the reasons why the new animated show has really grown on me, because of those similarties from the G1 show. @bumblebee@

Well, you brought up how he "never runs from a fight." I never brought that up until you did. I just called him weak, hence a wimp. My topic is about how he is rather WEAK as a warrior in the G1 saga. You could call him a wimp, even though he never runs from a fight, since Decepticons can best him rather easily in combat. That's all I was saying.

How would you fit coward in there since he doesn't run away from fights with the decepticons?

LiquidMetal - 2008-07-31 @ 12:07 am

Well, when I say "wimp" I mean physically weak. I didn't say he wasn't brave. If I thought he wasn't brave, I'd call him a "coward" not a "wimp". There's a difference. See?

G1 Bumblebee had tons of heart for a minibot. Never thought of him as a wimp, he was very resourceful and brave. He was no Brawn in the power department, but he got the job done when needed. I like his G1 character best.

So far Bumblebee in any incarnation isn't a wimp

He may be small but he never runs from a fight

Rodimus Primal - 2008-07-30 @ 7:30 pm

I really preferred his G1 self where he was small but brave. He put himself in danger to take care of situations. While Optimus Prime was the hero, Bumblebee was the Autobot who was a regular good guy.

My vote goes to Animated BB...
