2010 Q&A Session With Hasbro's Star Wars Brand Team (Jabba Confirmed & More)

Jay Cochran - February 03, 2010

Hasbro's Star Wars brand team agreed to answer two questions from Jedi Insider fans on a regular basis. Here are this week's questions and answers. You can also head over to Toy News International to check out another Q&A session where details about Hasbro's upcoming BAT-AT and Vintage Collection figures are revealed.

JI: Are there any plans for the new Super Tank as seen in the "Weapons Factory" Episode of the Clone Wars Animated? This tank has a very similar shape to the MTT while perhaps meeting the "more dynamic" qualification for the vehicle assortment. Hopefully it could be made to fit into a higher than star fighter price point so it wouldn't be too small, while not needing to be as big as the MTT which should be AT-TE sized.

Hasbro: We have no plans for this one right now. If it becomes a more pervasive presence in the show (more episodes and battles), we would consider it, but right now it just doesn't have enough screen power for its size to justify putting it into production.

JI: Rebelscum reported a rumor earlier this week that a new Jabba the Hutt figure was in the works and that it will include the dais and throne, plus an exclusive pack-in figure. Can you confirm this and are there more details you can share, like how big will it be, what will the pack in figures be, how much will it cost?

Hasbro: We can confirm that there is a new Jabba and Dais coming this Fall, and that it will have a pack-in figure. Beyond that, we do not have more details. At this point it looks like late Fall, so complete details will be revealed at Celebration V. Stay tuned!
