Jay Cochran - July 22, 2007
Kotobukiya announces their plans for the 2007 Comic Con International: San Diego (SDCC), highlighted by a Star Wars Convention Exclusive!

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the greatest space fantasy film of all time, the UTAPAU TROOPER is the newest edition to the ARTFX Statue series. The infamous receivers of Order 66, each Utapau Clone Troopers stands 12 inches tall, and includes a display base, and trademark Clone Trooper weapons – the blaster and DC-15 rifle. The level of detail that the Koto ARTFX series is known for is on display in this piece, with over 200 individual scratches and markings on the Trooper’s armor. Limited to only 2007 pieces (for Summer 2007), this is one of the smallest edition sizes of any ARTFX Statues released.

To try to ensure that fans attending on different days of the convention will all have an opportunity to obtain the Utapau Troooper, each day’s sales will be limited as follows:

July 25th 600 pieces (Preview Night)
July 26th 500 pieces
July 27th 400 pieces
July 28th 300 pieces
July 29th 200 pieces
Purchases will be limited to only 2 toys per person. Priced at $100, it is expected to be a highly sought after item by all Star Wars fans, and will be available only at Kotobukiya’s booth #2301.
