According to Lucas, it will be more like the film noir movies from the '40s, than the action-adventure films from the '30s. We can expect at least one familiar face, look for Boba Fett to be a featured character; in fact, Author Karen Traviss' Boba Fett novel was canceled to avoid any potential clashes with the canon of the upcoming series.
